87 300 sdl engine into 350 sdl
Hi- My 350 sdl suffered a massive lower end failure and I happen to have an 87 300 sdl that was running great when leaves in the firewall caused a burn(minor) to ruin the car. Both cars are at a shop getting the engine swap done. This am my mechanic called and said the oil pans were different-Cover with a bunch of bolts on the 87- not on the 350. Do I need to swap oil pans? Both cars are side by side-so I can swap whatever needs to be swapped. Any help here -Thanks Brian

If you're doing an engine exchange, why are you exchanging oil pans? Take the engine out of the 350, including the oil pan and replace it with the 300. Done!

The cover with a bunch of bolts on the side is a kickout. This pan is more desireable to run.
