SDL Crap shifts with AC

Any ideas as to why my SDL shifts like absolute crap when the AC is on? I hardly use my AC but ever since I got married, the wife has to practically see her breath whenever she rides in my SDL. It doesnt do it when I put the climate control in EC. It seems to only do it when the AC clutch is engaged. I mean it clunks into the first 2 gears! Whaddya think?

The a/c sucks so much power that you put the thottle down that much further. More throttle = more firm shifts. It's normal. Try adjusting the VCV to get softer shifts without making them too soft when the a/c is off.

For the longevity of the transmission, hard shifts are better than soft shifts. I keep mine adjusted to shift real firm.
