220 CDI stops after using half the fuel tank
My 220 CDI empties half the fuel tank then it stops.
It seems like the diesel stays in the other half of the tank, and don't get "pumped" over like it should. Anyone ever had similar problems? |

My 240's run out at 1/4 full and I believe it is a plugged tank vent.
I haven't checked mine since I "burp it" at the fill cap regukarly and that seems to fix it.

Does the 220 CDI have a split tank? I know some p'ups do, with some way to get fuel from both halves. Otherwise it is most likely a clogged screen at the tank output to the fuel lines.

I'll check the tank vent.
The tank is not split but it has two "low points" on either side. The return line goes trough the second "low point" where it forms a jet to move the diesel to the other half. This does not seem to work. |
