97 E300 fuel line & delivery valve replacement ??

Going to replace leaky fuel lines (o-rings) and leaky delivery valve seals on a NA OM606. Can this be done with just the crossover pipe removed or do I need to pull the manifold. P of D's pix are of the turbo, the IM is different. Seems like with the crossover pipe removed, there should be enough room from up top and underneath. Is the job way easier with the IM out of the way? Has anyone done this with IM in place? If pulling IM, is a new IM gasket a must? Thanks

On the turbo version, you can remove the windsheild washer bottle and gain sufficient room to reach under. I would think you should be able to do the same on the NA version.

Disconneting the upper fuel lines and then removing the SOV (with lower lines attached) and fuel lines as a unit makes the job easier.

I'd get a new gasket and remove the manifold. It'll make the delivery valve job much easier and probably cleaner too.

Reading too fast....thought you asked about fuel liens and the SOV rather than DV's....by all means pull the IM, DV's are not a job you want to do blind.
