Click the above link [Buy Parts].

Also, check your local yellow pages under hydraulic hoses. Some of those shops also rebuild AC hoses.

I found it for $72 but car is at the shop and is probably easier to just get it there.

Yeeeeeeesssss,

I suppose it's always easier to allow the Dealer to "Do it."

'Problem is ,My Wallet screamed so Loud back in 1986,
(Last Time I Paid a MB dealer for any Kind of Service)
I Cannot drive into a dealer's service lane without going Deaf
and have to back out into the street, drive home and fix
whatever it is myself.

I have not taken any cars to the dealership, except when they sent me a free oil change coupon. Even then, I hestitate as I need to drop off the car and it is just as easy for me to do it myself at home for $20.

This is my experience for the hose. I actually repaired one myself with great success. The hose had a nick near the recv/dryer and I could not cut and joint it together with hose clamps. The joint would not be strong enough even with a metal insert. There are 2 points of failures. So I decided to cut the hose all the way to the press-fit metal bracket, got the same section from a junk yard for pennies, inserted into the metal hose and put a single hose clamp round it. Put some RTV inside and out for good measures and it has been working fine since. It only has one point of failure. I could cut the metal hose and weld it but I could not do welding and do not have the gear.

I could remove the whole hose from the junk yard but it is a PITA to remove it all the way from the expension valve even if I butchered everything in between.

I bet your labor costs will not be cheap, plus the parts on top. As a matter of interest, how much it is going to cost.
