2.5 190d NA 5 speed MPG??

Highway I got steady 37MPG doing 70mph-100mph. Doing 80mph-110mph I got 33 MPG.. I only have a K&N airfilter and about 5psi overinflated tires.

Does that sound about right?? My 240d 4speed got steady 30mpg going slower(and alot louder)

Yep. The 190 is less drag aerodynamically and has more favorable gearing and a more effecient motor.

First things first!
You can do 110mph steadily in your 190D?
Maybe I'm remembering a 2.2 I once drove, but jeez!
Going 90 in my OM617 turbo is enough to drive me nuts over time-

Those 2.5 engines are quieter than a OM617..

I did 100mph-110mph for a WHILE.. and the only way I knew I was going fast(other than the gps and odometer) was when I passed the other cars as if they weren't moving. Good thing that they apparently don't have highway patrols in Albama.
I can imagine doing anything close to that with a w123.

A 300d turbo will go a bit over 100. My 83 with the 300d euro na will do 100.

i'm sorry.. i meant 240d, not w123 since there's many variations. Still it will probably be extremely loud at those speeds

The turbo 602 will propel the heavier 124 to 120mph, so I would guess the NA 602 could move the 201 at 110 without too much trouble if the diff ratio isn't making the engine hit the governor in 5th by that speed.
