W126 Lowering Springs
Anyone have any reasoning why the springs from W126 would not work on a W126 Diesel? There appears to be only a 300lbs weight difference. I can find springs all day for the gasers but none for the diesels. What gives???

There are several different springs for the W-126 and the longer and heavier vehicles will use the springs that support a greater load, either by additional length or slightly thicker wire size.
It depends on which gasser has the donor spring..........the FSM will dictate the suitability. Furthermore, the spring pads above the coils are used to fine tune the ride height after the spring is selected. |
