What are some questions I need to ask?
Going to take a look/drive in this car tomorrow and wondering what are some really key questions regarding this model year/chassis? One is "Mister, why are you asking so much for this car?"!
 According to Kelly BB the 'excellent' retail would/should be $4600. Says he's owned it 5+ years. Has 157,xxx miles on the clock. He "thinks" he's the second owner but said that "given the condition of it I (he) never went through the process to find out..." (how many owners).Thanks for the input, Guys!

get a carfax report on it so you know true mileage and number of owners

Good points...
Aren't these cars notorious for the wiring harness problem? What about A/C issues or is that problem more limited to the big 140's?

Start out with how many miles are on it, ... always suspect when absent from an ad.
How long has he had it, service records, is the exhaust funky or just the photo. Needs new wire harness if it hasn't already been replaced (tag is visible beside the battery with date code). Not sure if the paint is mismatched fender-door (accident) or just the photo. Tex interior is common, leather rare, most people think that they have leather when they don't, ... if the front panel of the seat is smooth it's leather, if ribs run to the front of the seat it's tex, ... heated seats are fairly rare, CD player is standard on the special-edition as are the stainless sill-plates, the overhead phone controls in place of the center visor, and 6-spoke wheels (which this one doesn't have, so probably NOT a special edition). Price isn't too bad if 157,000miles is verifiable and the clear-coat is perfect with leather and a SE, looks more like a $4500 car to me though.
