Back on the Road!
Thanks to a very, very good friend and countless individuals on this forum, my 201 is back on the road after an extensive top-end rebuild. The only work I farmed out was the head refurbishment at Bearing Service in Portland. The car runs very well, so I will attest to the complete level of quality that the shop turns out. New timing chain, T/C rail, chain tensioner, head gasket set, coolant pump, vac pump, belt tensioner assy, rebuilt Bosch injectors, and various & sundry items that fell apart, or got busted in the grueling 4 month process.
The car fired right up and smoothed out nicely once we got the injector lines tightened properly. As I told my friend during the test drive, it is "one of the happiest days of my life." My oldest daughter christened the car a while back: "The Red Baron" So, "The Red Baron" rides again!

That's great! My E300 has been sitting for close to a month now waiting for it's new radiator. I'll be happy to have it back on the road so I don't have to drive the truck every day!
