1984 300d Value

I live in Minnesota, the car has 180k +- miles. The Harmonic balancer is out so the crank/balancer needs work or replacement. The vehicle has a good interior besides cracked dash, the climate control system including ac works, vacuum locks all work.

It has been more or less sitting for over a year, the engine starts immediately. It drives well. I am looking to sell and I have no idea what a fair value would be for the car. No 'greasecar' work or modifications have been done to it, the Turbo has minimal play. Side to side only, can NOT push the turbo shaft in and out. As stated, the play is minimal.

Silver, The Sun Roof Works, all electronic windows work, and the body has minimal rust. Some by rear wheel wells.

Any 300D with mechanical work needed should be 1k max.
Rust, cracked dash, any other issues work against that.

Not the best time to be selling an older diesel, unless its in mint shape.

I think the best thing to do is look at local ads and see what others are going for.
For most people here, service records and lack of rust are big...as are good deals

In the future, if I ever buy another older diesel It will have a mint interior and exterior. I don't care if the engine is filled with gummy bears.
