This is the first W210 "cracked dash" post that I have ever seen but there are many W123 and W124 threads on the subject. A new dash from the dealer will be beau coup bucks; if you can find one in a junkyard you will be far better off by a factor of 20X or more. Otherwise, a [fabric] "dash mat" or [plastic] "dash cap" would be an option.

As to pulling the W210 dash, I've never seen it done, maybe someone else here can help but I bet it won't be easy. Safety first, remember the passenger side airbag!

It's a big job and cracking is very common on cars which spent time in sunbelt states like mine. At the time I bought my car, 5 years ago the parts were around $600 but I am sure they are closer to $1000 now...but that's nothing compared to the cost of labor to replace it. I was told the book time was 15 hours. It only makes sense to do it if you have another reason to completely disassemble the dash...like to replace the heater core or evaporator...otherwise it is hardly worth spending like $2500 to eliminate a few cracks.

Here's the evaporator R&R process which includes the dash dis-assembly.
