transmission 83 300d

Hey does my 83 have an overdrive gear?or just 3 speed.

4 spd automatic with 1:1 4th gear ratio.

I didn't think the turbo cars started in 2nd...

My SD started in second gear until I adjusted the ALDA, all three of my auto 123's have started in first.

Both my 82 and 85 300d's start off in first, but they don't stay in first very long. The older (pre-81, I think) transmissions with the four bolt pan and mechanical linkages start off in 2nd, unless you press the accelerator all the way down to the kickdown switch.
