I think I'll just pay the ticket. I dont think the cop actually had me on radar but was nice enough to lower the ticket significantly, enough where I'm just happy to pay the ticket.

I'm sorry man. I bought a radar detector just for those moments.

I never pay the ticket,with out an fight,Unless they say its no points.I have an CDL.9 and of 10 times they just want your Money,they don't care about the points,I always in the past made an deal with the DA ,I pay the fine no points,no problems.

See you get rewarded at the pump by following the law not that I have never exceeded the limit by more than double but if I got a ticket I paid it as I was speeding, and I earned that ticket . . .

Driving a 240D will be even harder to get a ticket, (although I squeezed 85 out of it today . . .cleaned it right out too!)

The one time I've had one, I sent a lawyer after them. Didn't even have to go to court; he took care of it. Paid 3x what the ticket was worth but it stayed off the insurance that way; I'd do it that way next time in a heartbeat.

'Got a "Gift" from a Treutlen Co. Deputy on I-16 about 4 years ago...
As of Long standing...You send in the "Fine" "+" and the problem goes away...
DA in Treutlen who lives in Dublin (Laurens Co.) told my attorney they'd take the fine...
BUT only in CASH and only in person,before the judge.

Forget That...Too Much Like Ludowici in the bad old days.

Not really hard to do....a 617 turbo running well can easily reach 110 Mph! I would know!

And....a M103 can easily blast on past 125.... That car could land me in jail....I keep it slow. I only tested its abilities one time.


Down south on I75, you pretty much need to go 90-100 to keep out of the way of their psycho truckers....those guys belong in a prison.

Here in Vermont its the ticketing officer who is the "DA"!
I got snagged doing 50 in a 40 zone and was looking at 2 points plus fine.
Showed up at court and dickered with the man who was happy to drop the points.
They want the money; it's a growth industry in many towns.

Good ones do radar and laser. My dad has one that freaks out whenever a cop is near....I've seen it in action. They really do work! I need to get one sometime.

My next car mod will be high powered infrared LEDs put into the license plate lights. So when I turn my cars lights on it completely blots out the license plate so those damn speed on green lights don't catch me! Damn Cleveland Ohio and its red light/speed on green cameras!

Edit: Whoa a ticket for doing +10 over? I follow the 9 you're fine 10 you're mine mantra. Seriously if they did that I'd bring in proof that the speedometer is actually 3/4 mph off and that the margin of error on a radar gun is like +-8.

I'd be pissed and fight that to high heaven. Speeding tickets are the bane of human existance!
