How much can I get for 617 Engine parts?
I'm sure most of you have seen my big thread. But I'm pretty sure I've made my decision to swap the engine, it will be a lot cheaper in the long run assuming I can get decent money from the parts in my engine.
Here are the good parts: 1. 4 connecting rods, all good. 2. 5 good pistons 3. Cylinder head is good 4. Block is good 5. Crank is able to be ground and reused I think, not sure though. 6. IP is good 7. Flywheel 8. Manifolds 9. Turbo worked 10. Working Vacuum pump 11. oil pump, pretty sure it was good. 12. Injectors were good 13. Just about everything misc. that was on the engine. My question is, what is the demand for these parts, and what can I expect to get from these? From what I understand the IP and head should be worth some, as well as the vacuum pump and turbo. Not sure on everything else. Thanks. |

you want to target someone whos willing to do the work to rebuild the engine. I am in similar postion and decided to rebuild an engine since I have swapped engines in the past and running out of room.
I would post measurements you got etc so people know what they are getting. the demand for those kind of parts in this economy isnt the best time to sell.

I too have a bunch of 617 internals laying around if anyone wants to buy them. Includes cam shaft (perfect)....turbo.....manifolds......various other stuff....
Just thought I'd plug my inventory.
