strange antenna mast problem
This part
 won't go in. It looks exactly like the old part and is the same make as the previous replacement. Mast is drawn all the way in but stops there. I've replaced the mast successfully once. One day when I turned off the radio the antenna came down and somehow got bent. The old deal of 2 for 14 is gone. Is there another one? Last edited by trt; 07-22-2009 at 02:57 AM.

You probably did the same thing I did. I bent it (the copper colored piece) taking the motor out. Took a long time to get it straight enough for the mast to slide through easily; still does not work quite right but I did not want to buy a new mast just for that part.

I got a completely new mast. The copper piece is not bent on either the old or new mast. the mast goes all the way in except for the coppper piece.
