tbhq citric acid dimethylpolysiloxane
Any reason I SHOULDN'T gather WVO with these ingredients to run in my two tank conversion system? I've heard these ingredients can make the oil difficult to filter.....

I think tbhq is an anti-foaming agent, shouldn't affect the oil at lower than 300* F I burn it. Acid shouldn't be a problem in properly dehydrated oil, can't speak for the last one. Where are you located in MA?

Thanks for the info. I'm in Northampton, MA. I haven't gotten into dewatering yet. I just let the oil sit for a really long time before filtering it. My plan is to build a more sophisticated filtering/dewatering system soon. Have you been by the new greasecar outfit yet in holyoke?

No, I haven't, I was thinking about going to their "greasefest" on Saturday, but that's quite a haul for me, I'm about 20 miles west of Boston, so that's almost a 2 hour drive (although I guess there's no fuel cost). Do you have the Greasecar kit? And dehydration of the oil is supposed to be really important. PM DieselDan44 about his setup, it's great. I started out with just filter bags over a barrel, but I plan on eventually copying his.
