Leaking Diesel From Everywhere

Well I have had this happen one time before when i over filled, this time I didn't over fill came out this morning and there was diesel all over the ground. Its leaking from the fill door and from both fender wells, if it's a hole its in the top of the tank as once I get it down a little it stops, any ideas?

find leak and fix it? Replace your tank with a used tank?

my wife made a really odd observation and i can't figure out how this would factor, but this has happened twice and both times it was when I filled up at one particular station. It does fill the tank really fast, but i don't see how that could cause this issue.

Yea, but i don't understand why this would happen once then not be an issue for another 5,000 miles. is the hole to the left of the cap a vent?

Remove the rear-wall in the trunk and take a look at the tank....the leak should be fairly obvious. I'll bet the vent line is leaking, and at the station that fills it really fast, some gets forced into the line, thus the leak.

Yea one other thing is the nozzle at this station barely fits in my filler, it's slightly larger then standard. I'll pull the trunk liner, but I'm thinking if it doesn't sound insane for it to be an issue with the station I'll just avoid using that Chevron anymore.

ok vent was clogged AND hanging inside the car, further investigation leads me to believe that it was leaking out the gas cap and back into the trunk through the vent hole. The vent hose was not long enough, i unclogged it and extended it a bit, now i am just hoping it's attached at the other end because i can tell, no diesel on the tank what so ever it was all on the inside of the car near the fuel filler.
