trunk lock came out with key
 

the locking mechanism came out with the key when i was trying to open my trunk now i cant get it open... does anyone kno how to open the trunk after the mechanism is out? i got my school books inn there and other stuff that i need to get to and this is causing a major inconvienance.

If just the pin section came out, there is a small lever at the 2 o'clock position that you can press and it should pop the trunk.

School sucks and you didn`t want to go anyway, this puts a new twist on "the dog ate my home work" excuse trick. :D

If the above doesn`t with the screw driver, there is always the "FUNOLA" getting into the trunk trick.

ya the whole center of the lock came out... its like a hollow tube that u can just push and it doesnt do anything.

The lever which will release the latch should be able to be pressed straight inwards to actuate. There is a possibility that you may have to rotate the inter locking cam/rod from the vacumm actuator first, this will be located to the right of the latch facing the trunk lid from the rear. Good luck!
