If we are talking about what you were talking about on your other thread. 55 lbs for a 2.88 and 85 lbs for 2.47.

Actually, I think its about 80ish lbs for a 3.07/2.88, and around 123lbs for a 2.47. I just carried them both not too long ago, and the 2.47 is WAY more than 85lbs!

Unless by "Center" you mean just the gears/guts of the diff....

No that is not the case. I shipped a 2.47 and it was 85 lbs. I also weighed my 2.88 and it is around 50 lbs. Ya must must bee WEEAAAK!

The 2.88 has a 1.1 liter case and 185mm ring gear. The 2.47 has a 1.3 liter case (taller then the 1.1 liter) and a 210mm ring gears. That is where the weight difference is.

Well, I was carrying it WITH the CV axles attached still, so that adds a good deal to it....

Psh, weak, I just carried my replacement transmission around the garage today. Those, are heavy with the torque converter still in place.

I've been known to bend 1/2" drive breaker bars so they look like a boomerang.
