[QUOTE=Shawn T. W.;2253611]Why, how would it hurt your engine?QUOTE]

i did this to my engine, had air cleaner off and power washed engine so i plugged all holes that could let water in.than i started engine and puled car in garage and let it run for 2 min till my dad asked about huge puddle of oil on floor.shut the car off and looked and had valve cover gasket leaking at front left corner.so yeah it may not hurt engine but will make mess for sure.just my own expirience

Was your valve cover gasket leaking before, just not to that extreme? Why were you washing your engine?

Look at post 27 on link I posted above . . .

I shut off 2 different cars like this, no leaks . . .

Well . . . post 21 said "Don't do it" so did Vlado . . . but you witnessed first hand that it did not burst out your valve cover gasket, maybe Vlado's gaskets were weak, or not tight . . .?

Well... It's nice, but hardly mint.

It's got rust under the rear right bumper boot... the triangle boot thingy... and of course some rust at the bottom of the rear hatch. The cracks in the dash didn't really show up in the pictures, and neither did the paint peels. Stupid cheap re-spray. If it wasn't for the cheep peely paint, I'm sure I could get more for it.

The interior does look pretty good. The driver's seat is actually a replacement. It started out as that red/brown color (don't know the name). I used some SEM vinyl paint on it. Looks pretty good for $20 right? (Shh... no one will ever know it's not really palomino...). I gave the passenger seat a similar SEM treatment to help cure the Pinkamino it was having.

Looked like this when I bought it.

The drivers seat eventually developed a lot more cracks and 3 dark brown spots.

I just put a new gasket in... maybe that helped too.

I wouldn't let Smash go for less than $3K, and he looks like Fido's arse!!! Of course, I haven't had the courage to ask for it yet.
In this economy, your price is fair, for you and for the buyer.
You should have to sell it for $2K for that "It's not uncommon to find this model vehicle with 1 million miles on it" line in your ad. I've never even seen one, so it would be very uncommon......

A great interior, but it still has 250k miles on it. Take the $3000 and move on with your life.

Ha ha! You got me! I used "the line". Hey, at least I didn't put the words veggie oil or greasecar in there!

I'm almost feeling guilty enough to remove that line. I really should have edited it out before I posted it here... I thought I knew better!

Well, I think this makes it 50/50.

So it seems I should take the offer, or keep the car.

If you "need" cash, then take it out of her hands . . . if you can scrape by and keep the car, that is great, as otherwise . . . it maybe awhile before you drive a "real" car . . .

Obviously "mint" is a totally different thing between Texas and MI. Its REAL nice in my opinion.....you should see the average car up here...
