on an '82 300D... any link to production number of colors etc?!
the car has 242K, and seller wasn't aware of some rust appearing in the pass side floorpan,

but was aware of like small door bubble, that doesn't go thru!

going back @ 730 this evening to do some more inspecting

That thing has the dirtiest bundt wheels I've ever seen!

Any reason why they don't have the engine breather tube connected to the air cleaner?

And the vacuum to the locking system is disconnected.

Well if MB Tex and Leather are twins, they aren't identical twins.

I like that color combination!

Those rank up there with some of the dirtiest wheels I've ever seen. I'm guessing the seller isn't expecting a real high sales price.

Good for you, though, if it's a nice solid car.

pull out all of the floor carpets and tap the metal with a screwdriver, particularly the rear passenger foot wells and under the seats. the last coupe I looked at you could see the ground through holes the guy didnt know were there, also take into account all bad chrome and all the little things that will bother you to be fixed. even a cheap car is not worth it with rust or a hundred little $20 fixes this car is obviously not well maintained. I would be worried about an engine trans in this condition. it looks like it has blowby oil all over tyhe air cleaner and the entire driver side of the motor. that has to be smoking like crazy and yet still ignored.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks, but those bundts look different for some reason. Can you take a picture better picture of them?

They're not different, just excessively filthy.

It looks like it leaks tons of oil. Its about as "rust proofed" underneath as it can get.

Tyler, I think those bundts do look like the centers are smaller...
the paint is/has completely peeled off of them.

the engine, as some of you might have read on my facebook status, needs MAJOR help, little to no blow by, I'm going to assume by the puffing of smoke, the head gasket is leaking in the rear, blowing oil everywhere.
floor needs a bit of help... no radio, due to lack of vac locks and wifey forgetting to lock the car

antenna hole, at some point has been covered, antenna is in the trunk, but there is also one in the front seat!?

the transmission shifts better than my '95 (maybe I have a problem!?)
I loved the color combo, told them I'd think on it...

he saw my 124 and kinda acted as if he wanted the price higher a bit,
the exaust is SHOT holes everywhere

to say the least, car looks better up close, at 9pm, when its not running

interior, as I said, FLAWLESS. (aside from dirt)

BAD: front pass window is shot, glovebox won't close, vac locks are in op, ignition was replaced at some point, a slight bump feeling in the front end, drivers side... Chrome and other plastics are pretty decent,

oh, the sunroof looked as if it needed adjusted, the guide on the drivers side of the track, detached itself when closing it, first time its happened (and I believe it)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, right next to free... or walk

The interior does not look flawless to me. I seriously doubt you can bring that carpet back, and the center arm rest is trashed.

ok, the armrest looks better in person, and as for the carpet, I'm used to dying upholstery, just one of many detailing/revamp services i offer, if you look at my album on facebook labeled facebook some fine examples.

now, back to that '80 engine & trannyless rust free 300D in Binghamton NY...

They look like deep dish bundts to me.

I think that car has been in an accident or at least repainted in the past. See the overspray in the wheel wheel?
