300D shifting problems

I'll be in 3rd gear and it usually shifts at 40 or a little below into 4th. I accidentally power brake only for a minute. Now when the tranny shifts into any gear it is around 3200 rpm. Also, it shifts into 4th when i take my foot off the accelerator, that could be anywhere from 40 mph to 50mph.?

Any Ideas?

Bowden cable, or floor mat (no joke). What do you mean by "power brake"?
