The SDL's features

I think one of the coolest is the ability to completely fog three lanes of traffic on the highway at full go go pedal. Not a light fog but some heavy, dense fog where all I see are headlights. This is only at night lol.. The 300D never did that.

to my knowledge the engine consumes no coolant and barely any oil... I think my smoke control unit.. aka ALDA has been fiddled with.

I don't think Hattie ever messed with the ALDA and I certainly haven't on mine..........at the right RPMs with a kickdown I can get a good cloud coming out of the pipe (I finds its very effective at getting tailgating bikers and convertibles off your back )

It does seem to kick out alot of smoke. I used to be bothered by it, but I got over it.

I removed the cat converter, mid muffler, resonator and ALDA.
I now have a straight pipe terminated with a Flowmaster turbo muffler (15"x4").
Big thick clouds of smoke, I can't make ...but constant visual exhaust smoke on any accelleration. Oh yes. Tailgaters are a thing of the past
I enjoy driving my SDL!

Try running Biodiesel. the smoke issue is greatly reduced. I run B100 and the smoke is more of a haze, not dark at all........

With the CDI I have trouble making any smoke at all...different story with the 300D. If I haven't blown out the cobwebs in a while, giving it the old 3rd gear Italian tuneup on the I-705 hill in Tacoma will produce some smoke.

Driving back to my cousin's place in Corvallis from the NW meet in June I came up on the tail of some idiot doing 40 on I-5 south of Salem. Everybody was blasting past me at 70-75 in the left lane so I waited for a hole and gave it the boot. Dropped to 2nd and smoked out everyone behind me. It was almost dark too so headlights exacerbated the effect
