300D >> Picking Out Parts to the AC System?

I have a parts car (300D) that I want to strip of most of the vital AC climate control system components. Can anybody provide me a list or tips on what to take?

I think I found one electronic parts... located behind the glove-blox liner? It was to the right, but it has german/mercedes parts numbers on it. I thought that chrysler was the supplier on parts for this system originally? The part number seems to be 412.204/001/002, or 425 19/97... says VDO on it? If it's not related to climate control, can somebody tell me what it is?

ADDENDUM

OK... So I did a little sleuthing and found this nicely posted manual for the old finicky chrysler system. it give a good break down of components I'm looking for... :

http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Master/281/index.htm

Does anybody know where the ambient interior air-temp sensor can be accessed to start off with?

I think that I did find the amplifier box.. the thing located behind the glove box liner.... a confirmation on this would be good though.

Thanks.

I think I found the ambient insid air temp-sensor... it was located right below the plastic grill to the right hand speaker in the dash... does this seem right? it looks like a little tube with a capacitor mounted inside and a long whire and plug connected to it...?

I've had fair luck putting a part # in Google and finding names, pictures, and prices.
