W210 Differential oil level question
I wanted to check to see if there is enough oil in my 96 E300D, but i could not see a plug to put oil in it. Does anybody know how to fill it with fluid.

#11 is the fill plug. Forward of the axle on the drivers side.
Make certain it is removable BEFORE pulling drain plug. http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp?TP=1&F=210025&M=606%2E962&GA=722%2E608&CT=F&cat=45P&SID=35&SGR=015&SGN=01

I used Mobile 1 gear lube in the appropriate viscosity. You will need 1.1 liter, if I recall correctly.

This is on my list to do list also.
Im sure the MB fluid is recommend here and I usually use all MB fluids but I have some Redline 75w90 synthetic gear oil I was thinking of using.

I would not hesitate to use RedLine 75W90 gear oil.
