Meyle "Uprated" Parts
See the following link for a site describing Meyle's "uprated" Mercedes suspension parts. I would like your considered opinions as to the quality of these parts. Is this "re-engineering" unique to Meyle or do all the suppliers upgrade parts specs over time in response to failure issues as they present themselves?

Hopefully their quality is improving, I've stopped buying any of their parts because of almost everything I bought would fail prematurely.

I have to say that I have used Meyle Uprated parts on my BMWs with good results. One fine example that sticks out in my mind is the E36 lower / outer ball joints. Meyle redesigned them being all metal and they outlast the OEM factory units.
I think the uprated stuff is good, the regular stuff could be questionable. |
