Calling all muffler men (and women)
Okay so here's my delema. As most of you know my muffler fell apart a few weeks ago on the highway. It had rusted away where the down pipe from the exhaust manifold attaches in to the muffler. Now, there is about a 4" piece of tubing stuck in there from where it broke off. Joe is over now, and we've tried just about everything. So how do I get this piece out? It might be rusted together, but we're not sure. Should I hit it with a blow torch to heat it up and see if I can shake some of it loose?
Let me know what you think guys, would really hate to have to buy an entire exhaust because of this =[ Thanks guys |

You don't have enough pipe to sacrifice that 4 inches with a hack saw? That section of pipe was welded or glued sonehow, so I doubt it would slide out. Considering how much heat the exhaust takes makes me think a blow torch wouldn't do much.
