'84 300D Vacuum Diagram

I need a little help identifying some vacuum lines shown on my car's diagram (see photo below). I have a 1984 300D w/ an auto tranny.

1. The line coming out of the side of the vacuum control valve splits. One side splits again and goes to the front passenger side of the engine bay to the electric vacuum control valve and the electric switch over valve. However, where does the other line go to? The diagram shows the line going towards the firewall, so I'm assuming it goes to a line into the cabin. But what color is the line and what does it do?

2. At the 5-way split off of the main check-valve again has lines that aren't labeled as to where they go. One of the splits goes to the electric switch over valve, one goes to the check valve for the door lock system. Do the other two lines also go through the firewall into the cabin? If so, what color are those two lines and what do they do?

3. There are other lines in the diagram that are dashed in. I'm guessing they only apply to certain cars. They don't appear to apply to mine but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Is this a California 300D or a Federal. I have a Federal and I do not recall the same hook up as yours. Seems like you have a more extensive system.

Go back to the Diesel Decussion Page and look at the top of the page. There is some more vacuum diagrams. I do not know if they will match your car.

It's a federal. Here is a photo of the engine bay. Nevermind the duct tape... I'm in the middle of fixing the vacuum system from the guy I bought the car from.

On my '84:
#1 is black, it goes into the cabin and is a vent, it is not hooked up to anything.
#2, one of the lines is green, that goes to the climate control. The other is brown, maybe to the ignition switch. There are two lines going there, one is the brown line from the shut off actuator.
Check the sticky on vac line diagrams.
#3 I think you have it. Appears to have a couple more orifices off the main line. Or optional hook ups, too cheap to make different stickers. speaking of which, I have a completely different one myself, no diagrams, just text.

That's a big help. Thanks!

Another question. Where is a good place to get the hose connectors from online? Specifically the one labeled "14.10" with the orifice?

Try the buy parts button at the top. MB calls them distributors.
