How is the go pedal connected?

I'm trying to figure out why the go pedal (notice i didn't say gas pedal) goes to the floor without moving any of the linkages on the ip.

does someone have a linkage diagram or maybe just a tip as to where to start on this issue? many thanks.

Start tracing the path of movement starting at the throttle pedal and locate each linkage until you get to the IP. You will line find a lot of slop along the way and maybe some broken or missing bushings. It is then a matter of replacing the bad and adjusting the rest.
My 81 123 linkage had only about 40% movement at the IP. The bushings on the pivot between the firewall unit and IP were nonexistant. I did a homebrew fix and all is fine now.

I suppose it might make more sense to just refer to it as a "throttle linkage actuator pedal". Whether or not pressing on it with your foot causes acceleration or go, is debatable.

At one point we were calling it the fuel rack control pedal, or something similar.
