Euro bumpers for w123 - plug and play?
I have a bead on a set of euro-bumpers from an 81 300d. Would these be an easy swap to a 77 240d? Anything in particular to be aware of?
thanks |

make sure you have not only the bumpers, but the two sets of black rubber sides, and the metal brackets that are hidden under these rubber pieces that hold them onto the body and cover the ends of the bumpers. if you have all the right parts, they are plug and play and the installation becomes obvious once you pull the old ones off and get under the car to look. they're aren't that many options to make a mess out of the process. and yes, you'll be left with two holes by the rear bumper rubber that you have to do something about.

Well, if you had to drive in the rain or something, and hadn't had a chance to fix them properly. :D |
You will also need the correct rub strips for the Euro bumpers. To put them in, soap them up and "roll" them in place.
I have two Euro cars with complete sets of everything. One bumper set is in VERY nice shape and the other set is bent up some if there's anyone interested. |
