VIN# Decoder? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Don't post the Russian decoder site for me because its telling me its incorrect.

Anyone have a decoder that will work for my vin?

I did manage to look up the numbers but the manufacture date is 84. Was it sold in 1985 but built in 84?

What about the Russian site information is wrong?

Cars built from around September on are typically classified as the next model year. You car can be a 1985 model first sold in late 1984. There are real oddballs that start selling early in year XX and are classified as model year XX+1. The original SLK might have been like that.

FWIW, the site could find wdbab93c4ff042491.

Did you try the getting datacard info from the EPC?

I just tried to input that VIN and got some sort of error message back.....
