While I'm into the dash
Heat and air need work on the 85SD. I smell antifreeze when the heat is turned on so the heater core &/or hoses may be leaking. Switchover valves behind the passenger console test good but # 13 & 17 don't hold vacuum on going to the pods. AC system also has a leak which I haven't looked for yet. Should I pull the dash & replace all vacuum pods along with heater core and hoses or try to work it some other way? What else likely needs attention while I'm in there? I hate "while I'm at its". Sometimes that leads to thousands spent.

Some 123s have a check valve on the door vac line that comes from the engine bay and goes to the driver's door. Might change that out. The one in my 82 wagon was up near the windshield on the driver's side.

I had to get into my dash for the "no-air from center vent" problem. I just took the door that that pod moves out. I will never have that problem again.
While in there, you might want to change the light bulb on the spider as a preventative maint item. And don't forget to adjust your ACC so it looks right when you put it back togather. As a matter of fact, I would just replace every light back there I could find, so you don't have to pull it all apart again for one .37 light bulb!

Also look at replacing the foam seal on the flaps.
