lube pointers for SDL Throttle?

Well, the throttle on my SDL is starting to stick a bit. It really is a bit unnerving to have the car race like that.

I did some research and saw that the factory manual suggests ATF to lubricate the ball joints on the throttle. All well and good, but I have two questions:

1. How many ball joints are there? I found four or so, but I think there are more.

2. Can I just shoot WD 40 on the joints? I am sure it won't last quite as long but I have a can here. Any other miracle substances?

Thanks for the help.

Attached is PDF for lube points. You can't go wrong.

use some white lithium grease or something good. WD40 doesnt do anything as far as lubrication goes.

Do you just smear the lubricant on the lube points? I did not see anything in the PDF about taking things apart.

ATF Fluid. A bit of lube just get it in the joints and in the pivot points.

Ive used white lithium spray grease, works wonders and doesnt attract dirt.

I separated all the joints {1 at a time of course} and cleaned out the hardened old lube first then put in a small dab of grease and reassembled
