lube pointers for SDL Throttle?
Well, the throttle on my SDL is starting to stick a bit. It really is a bit unnerving to have the car race like that.
I did some research and saw that the factory manual suggests ATF to lubricate the ball joints on the throttle. All well and good, but I have two questions: 1. How many ball joints are there? I found four or so, but I think there are more. 2. Can I just shoot WD 40 on the joints? I am sure it won't last quite as long but I have a can here. Any other miracle substances? Thanks for the help. |

Attached is PDF for lube points. You can't go wrong.

use some white lithium grease or something good. WD40 doesnt do anything as far as lubrication goes.

What is ...
#000 989 87 51 anti-corrosion grease?
(In the Marine World) [Prop shaft waterproof grease?] |
Do you just smear the lubricant on the lube points? I did not see anything in the PDF about taking things apart.

ATF Fluid. A bit of lube just get it in the joints and in the pivot points.

Ive used white lithium spray grease, works wonders and doesnt attract dirt.
