I'm always ready.

We do need to get my dad's SD-timing chain slide rail and tensioner replaced though, as it is his winter driver....

Same here, it's going to be in the 90's here this week. I want to take my 220 up to the mountains where it's 20 degrees and actually have to preglow for a long time. That would be so cool.

I envy anyone who is in snow or rain right now

50* and cloudy with more to come today.
The 82 needs a trunk cleanout so I can put 200# of weight in it and snow tires installed.
I park the 81 once it gets snowy

Hey guys,

I want to take my 220 up to the mountains where it gets in the teens and low 20's at night. When I first got my 220D it had a bunch of stuff in the trunk from the original owner. Well I found this, it's a "Engine Heater Therm-O-Pump" that looks like it was bought in the 70's lol. The wire has those 2 prong old looking plugs. Well I was wondering if I should actually use this when I go up there. Or is this for something like when a car sits in negative temperatures for long periods of time?

I think it'd be kind of cool walking outside and see a wire coming from the engine compartment So basically should/could I still use this or just keep it as a novelty and not use a heater for such temperatures. I'm not going up soon, but I'd like to in the next few months and it'll probably get colder and hopefully snow up there. But my question is about this heater, what do you all think? Also, I don't think it's ever been opened..

Use it, the unit should be OK.
I set mine on a timer in the garage, two hours of pre-heating the coolant = instant heat on my feet.
At -20 or lower, it can make the difference between starting or running the battery down...

Have a great day.
