How to divorce Neiman from Light Saber
yeah, so i pulled a steering column from a w123 today. just hte part from the flexible tube to the steering wheel. couldn't get the ignition tumbler out of it though. is it just a matter of using a vice clamp with a pointed tip to press the button on the tumbler side and pulling it out? or does it require the key to be turned? cause i don't have the key

I'm pretty sure you need the key.

You have the key turned to the 1st position. If you don't have the key you will have to grind the little peg off.

Are you trying to get the tumbler out without the key?
