Anybody know size of Hyraulic Suspension oil hose from hodling tank 85 300TD wagon
Hi there, does anyone know the size of the hose thats attaches to the underside of the suspension fluid reservoir and goes to the hydraulic pump? is it the same size as some of the coolant hoses?
I dont see listings for it on my parts supplier so I wondered if its because its the same size as other hoses in the engine somewhere. Its going to be messy if i take it off now to look at it. Its very brittle and leaking. I would rather wait until I have a proper replacement so I dont end up making it any worse. Thanks again |

It should be 9mm hose (3/8" would be close). Coolant hose isn't oil-proof.
Any decent hydraulic hose supply should should be able to take care of you. Thx -CTH |

There are probably a bunch of useable hoses available, but the OEM part is only available from the dealer. At least that was my experience calling around for the part in San Diego. About $25 for 3 feet...Like I said, you can probably use a different hose as long as its rated for the fluid, etc. I got the OEM hose cause its braided and I think braided hoses are cool.
BTW, my resevoir tank was actually leaking due to age. It progessively gets worse and worse; develops its own little holes all over. Weird.
