Do you think I priced my car right?
Link to my ad on the forms: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=2319554#post2319554
I HAVE to get rid of this car in the next month before my HOA decides to tow it. I already have used up all my assigned spots and they have caught on that ive been moving it around the complex lol. Anyway a lot of stuff does not work - every time I think about it I think of something else I didnt mention on my ad - like powersteering does not work, sunroof does not work - i mean it really has not been taken care of but I did put a lot of work into it - probably as much as its worth in parts. Do you think 1000 dollars is a fair price for it? If anyone wants to travel to get it and use the engine or tranny or any of that, I will make them a deal because it does have a lot of good new parts on it - i just dont have resources at this time. Thanks for your opinions. |

IMHO it is a fair starting price, but I think you should expect to sell for less.

Ok cool, thanks for the opinion.
I hate putting a lot of work into something just to sell it for less, but I totally understand the fair market value. When will I learn to not bite off more than I can chew? lol. |

Too bad you're not in TN. I have 66 acres for storage.

I think you priced it right. Seems around here people with older diesel Mercedes think their cars are worth 5xs what they are worth. A 116 diesel was just listed for $4900 and a 300D for $5k this weekend (obviously both WAY overpriced)....so I would think your starting price is more than fair.

IMO, anything that moves under its own power is probably worth $1000. The problem is that this car is not worth enough to justify the work it needs, so it's probably going to be bought for parts. If you had a place to work, you would probably get more by parting it out yourself.

Since it runs and drives you might be able to get $1000 for it if the right buyer comes along.....as has been mentioned, someone will buy it as a parts car, or to continue the plight of running veg oil until it kills it.
