Don't need a diesel fix, ours are all big 500hp Detroits, but I do want a diesel Mercedes fix. So tempted to go to GA to pick up that '87 just for a nice driver.

Yeah, but I'd be tempted to stay there.

Near here are a couple of brothers who farm and work on diesels. They are very good and also are very creative as farmers tend to be about fixing things in alternative ways. They are best on the older mechanical only diesels as that is what they cut their teeth on.
