EPC question

This isn't directly diesel related, but it's diesel part related. I have a Mac OS X 10.6.1 and I keep getting an "Unable to launch" error. Anyone else get this issue?

This is because... for some reason... they wrote the EPC software to depend on a .dll file that is only on windows machines.

Yep, if you read the FAQ section, the epc explains it won't work on a mac.

Dang. I used to work on my old mac once in a while. I guess I'll just have to use it at work.

Incorrect. It has to do with the version of Java installed. Get the latest java updates, not from Apple.

From Sun Microsystems, of course:

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

There is a note about using the update function on Apple's Mac to be sure you have the latest version.

Exactly. I don't see a way to get a non apple version, and my system is up to date.

And it throws this error "Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.hp.tis.ewo.common.win32.TerminalServer"

Q5 : I have an Apple or Linux or Unix computer, can I use EPCnet Online?
A5 : No, we regret that the current version of EPCnet Online is incompatible with Macintosh, Linux and Unix Operating Systems. The only Operating System currently supported is Microsoft Windows

just tried again, mac running snow leopard with latest java available from Apple, and it failed.
If there is an available version of JDK for mac, not through Apple, I've love to hear about it.
