Sluggish, but only at highway speeds
Read various "sluggish" threads...haven't seen my symptom addressed.
Acceleration, turbo boost, etc. are great from stop and at lower speeds. But, when I'm on the highway and I punch the accelerator, it doesn't seem as responsive as it should be....kickdown doesn't occur as quickly as it should, seems to take too long to accelerate. I've changed fuel and air filters. Any thoughts? This is the 1991 300D. Thank you.

Could the kickdown solenoid work at lower speeds but malfunction at higher speeds?
