What is it?

Looking at the engine from the front. Back left corner. A cylindrical device with vacuum and electrical inputs. the only output seems to be a cable going to the linkage atop the valve cover. What is it? What does it do? and how? 76 300d w115

thanks

I'm not familiar with the 115's, but it sounds like the cruise control servo unit to me.

Good luck,

Thanks. My buddy (a Chevy freak) came over today and ID' it as such. I was a bit embarrassed.
