Question about Euro Headlights
I recently ordered some used Euro headlights to upgrade my 300SD.
Unfortunately, one was damaged in transit. My question - what is the proper name of the plastic piece that surrounds the lamp and covers the fog? (see picture below) Thanks in advance. Don

I don't think that those are Euro headlights. Those look like the American headlights from 1986-1991.

Yup, those are about worthless for seeing at night. The plastic piece is called the "Door", and is about $75 per side.

Thanks, Guys
I actually need headlights that allow me to see better. I have sent an email to the seller so we can remedy the situation...
So tell me - are these the real deal?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCEDES-W126-81-91-EURO-SPEC-HEADLIGHTS-CORNER-OEM_W0QQitemZ120487139424QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1c0d97d860 Thanks. Don

They are a cheaper knock-off. The real ones are made by Bosch and are about 400 dollars. I have the cheap ones on my car and they look fine. Bottom brackets don't line up so you'll have to figure something out there. I used a bunch of zip-ties. I got Silvania Silverstar Gold bulbs (50 bucks a set) and they're as good as light as your going to get. The old headlights were much brighter.

I have a set of Depo euro's I got on Ebay for my 124. I'm very happy with the fit and light output compared to stock. I also have off road 100/80 watt bulbs in them too. I drive a lot at night and the extra light is a great safety factor. Just today I saw deer on 5 occasions on the way to work. Allows me to see them out off the side of the road, before they are IN the road. I keep them aimed a little low because of the bright low beams. My lows are not as bright as xenon's however.
