That roof looks pretty rough. Looks like it would need a good clean-up too. Needs new carpeting and a going over in the engine compartment.

![]() Someone should go over those with black permanent marker. Edit: I love the car. I saw a w123 limo on benzworld that was a complete disgrace. This on the other hand is excellent and looks really really nice. Rip out the veg oil kit and have two diesel tanks for a 1,200 refuel distance ![]()

I believe they were factory on the Gen II w126's from 1987-1991. I don't know for certain however...

They're factory standard on 86-91 w126 models, on the driver's side only. The one on the passenger's side, *AFAIK* has got to be a retrofit of one of the drivers' side units. They might have made one for over there but I've never heard of it. Definitely a standard feature on the 2nd gen though on the driver's side.

Yes, especially an OM617. I'd like to see such a thing with a 603 or 606 turbo. Smoother, quieter, more powerful, but would it fit in the engine bay?
