OE Window Sealant

Hey guys, one of my projects over thanksgiving is to reseal my rear window.

Does anyone know the part number so I can go to my dealer and get it?

Also, what is the typical procedure for ordering parts from a dealership? I've never done it before, and when I visited there before for my mileage awards (which never came) they were very pretenious.

Should I walk in with a suit and tie with the part number so I get treated with some respect?

Are you looking for the rubber seal or the calking that they use?

Calking. The seal is fine.

Part number

The non hardening caulking part number is 001-989-31-20. It comes with a nozzle that comes to a flat point and will slip under the rubber seal. Works great. Phil can get it for you. He has it drop shipped.

Be careful to not put much lateral pressure on the nozzle. It can snap off. Push the end of the nozzle along with your finger rather than dragging it along with with caulking gun.

I'll order it through phil since I hate dealing with my dealership in town.

Thanks for the info. I've been having some trouble with epc lately.

I know, I betcha it is going to come from Contemporary Motorcar. I hate going there. I would much rather drive to Mercedez Benz of Cleveland, Pittsburgh, or Buffalo before I patronize those goons.
