86 SDL: Replacing Vacuum Lines
So my SDL is having issues - hard shifts, very poor acceleration, 19 mpg - and I'd like to replace all the vacuum lines and in the engine compartment to see if that helps. A previous owner had done some 'customizations' of dubious value, removing the ALDA without bypassing it, etc. Also, while I was first trying to get the car running, I blocked off the EGR and yanked the associated valve and lines. Long story short i'm sure the system has more holes than a block of swiss cheese, and replacing the lines and connectors would be a more efficient way of eliminating these leaks than troubleshooting piece by piece and also better for the car in the long run.
Where would be the best place to get lines and connectors? The net? Dealer? The rack at my local Autozone? I was wondering if anyone had undertaken the same project and had any wisdom to impart to this newb. Any pointers would be really appreciated!

Thanks for the link. I checked it out - looks like they have some hardware but what I'm having a hard time finding are the connectors and boots, like the five- way splitter coming off the vacuum pump. Has anyone bought these online before? I feel like I saw a link posted in thread a month or two ago but I can't seem to find them anywhere now.

Recommend purchasing parts on this site. Orders can be called in if parts are not listed. You do not need the five way connection any more since the arv and egr are gone. Two vac lines come off vac pump. Big one is for the brakes, small one has a filter (may be a check valve) between the pump and the five way connector. Make sure it is clean. I found mine clogged and had hard shifts etc.. Look at the EPC for part numbers and configuration of systems.
