W126 euro bumper question
I scored a front euro bumper today(need to go back for the rear)
But what needs to be modified for it to fit on my SDL? It wants to go on but I need like 1/8" more wiggle room on one side to slide it home. I also need to re position the oil cooler or what ever it is on the drivers side. As well as trim the tow hook to euro standards. Question also applies to the rear bumper. Also, where can I find a silver to repaint the thing on the cheap? I want it to look decent and need to do a little bit of body work on it. Other than that its a dusty gold and needs to be a regular ole silver. thanks |

Is it a 2nd gen Euro bumper? If it's from a 1st gen W126, the front bumper is not going to look quite right on your 2nd gen W126.

It's from a Euro 500SE, we were't really sure of the year. Orthopedic seats though!

Might want to patch up those scrapes before you put it on.
Also did I miss something? Last I checked the 300SDL was being considered for the sales lot and your also selling a set of W126 Eurolights with wipers.

Quote:
the euro headlights and euro wipers are from the 500SE. I think the bumper is from a GEN I car but the thing looks like my current bumper. Plan is to fill in the scrapes and such and paint it to match |
