MB-Tex can benefit from 303 Aerospace Protectant and Vinylex. I'm more partial to the 303 though.

PS, I've got a pile of 116 parts from the one I parted. Lots of trim stuff I'll never use. Wish you were closer. You could just come over and take what you need.
On the drive back I had to smack under the glove box to make the blower work. Evntually that wouldnt even work. It kind of seems like it is turning extremely slow because you can feel a tiny bit of heat coming out.

Could be the brushes wearing out or a bad connection. If I remember right the 116 blower isn't easy to change the brushes since it has a case that is not meant to be removed. I think Kerry has a write up here. You may want to search. Start checking the pick n pulls.

I found a blower motor from another member here. Now I really want the Chrome piece that I am looking for. Drivers side bottom that run from front to back. Also some good condition wood pieces for the interior would be great if cheap.

Congrats!

I always loved the look of the W116. Wish I had the room and money for one. It looks nice! Enjoy!

I have a ton of chrome trim from my 80 300SD. I'll looksee and see what I have when I have time. Time is the problem.

I have no interior as that was all sold to one guy when I parted it. Too bad as it was the exact same color as yours!

I appreciate you looking for my chrome piece when you have the time.

Thank you
