This is something that might be made.

I'm startuing to think more and more that making some special tools that are no longer available is a good way to develop skill and make it self-financing, or maybe even profitable. In any event, one learns.

Fabrication where I'm from is relatively cheap. Quality varies but there are good sources. I had a 124/140 evap fabricated...around 100-150 usd each, I also remember having that internal tranny cooler inside the radiator fabricated... didn't cost much. Mounts, brackets etc are easily reproduced.

Plus I now have access to an Objet 3D printer... the exciting part about this is...I AM A 3D MODELER. I just have to experiment with the tolerances as I haven't tried printing a real world part. The plastic/resin printout is quite durable.

If you want to, check out places like protomold.com . If you need just one they might be worth it, especially to check the fit. I will warn you about protomold though, don't give them your phone number or they will never leave you alone!!

Alert

MONO valve repair kit.
MB# 000 835 06 44

This may be temporary?

Rumor is MB pulled the license from the two suppliers still making them.

MB has them for $135.00 USD..

Amazing that this would be discontinued, since it effects EGR operations, so is technically an emissions system component, right???

So my question is, what on these actually fail? Is it the actual valve itself (plastic), the inner rod that is in there, or is it just the plastic lever?

I found these:

Vacuum Valve Lever 3/2 Way
OES GENUINE Vacuum Valve Lever 3/2 Way,W0133-1640593 - PeachParts

That is supposedly the 3/2 vacuum valve lever for a w123.

If that is usually what goes bad, then it seems that there is a (pricey) part to fix it...

The emissions warranty is only 8 years/80,000 miles. W123s are all WELL beyond that.

I needed a vacuum pump repair kit for my '82 617 (piston type), and was told that I bought the last one available in CA (or even the entire US). I was told that the diaphragm type kits (earlier 617's) were still available.
