1983 300D tranny problem
I have a 1983 300D turbo, automatic. When I put the car in drive or reverse it doesn't move right away, there is a long delay. I push the pedal and the engine just revs. When it does move, it moves slowly. Prior to this it was driving but had no power at all. I diagnosed it to be a vacuum issue.
I have replaced the engine vacuum lines and the 3/4 way T's. I also replaced the yellow check valve, the vacuum tranny damper/dashpot (000 304 02 34 green check valve), the vacuum central plug (it was dry rotted), and the 2/3 way valves and flippers on top of the valve cover under the black lid. I have a new tranny vacuum modulator but have not installed it. Any thoughts? matt sw8_2dg@yahoo.com |
