I get a steady 23-24 on biodiesel, in a mix of city and highway driving.

Mileage

My 85 300TD gets 22MPG very consistantly. The ALDA has been bumped to smoke, then backed off until very little smoke on WOT. I never drive for maximum mileage. The best I've ever gotten was about 26MPG mostly
highway, on a trip to the bay area, about 260 miles round trip. Again I wasn't trying for mileage. I drive in a "spirited" manner, most of the time.
90% of my driving is in town with 20-30 miles highway thrown in every
couple weeks. When I use my Jaguar in the same manner, it gets about
12MPG, so needless to say, I am happy with the TD

I've averaged 22-23 so far over the 8 times I've filled up my tank. And, a lot of my miles are city and nearly all with a mpg lowering roof rack.

There's a larger dataset on another website that has the "Official Fuel Economy report thread" and most report in the low to mid 20's. Some higher, some lower. I get 23 on 50/50 city-highway in an '83 300CD
